1966ON THE PALATE
The wine is dense, pure and as polished and rounded as a smooth pebble. Sensations follow on naturally from one to another. Although the wine introduced a notion of classic balance, the deep, green aromas of privet gradually give way to a long and surprisingly sharp, fruit finish.
ON THE NOSE
The nose initially reveals roasted, peaty notes, leading to aromas of dried apricots, and finally a hint of fresh almonds and orange blossom.
The 1966 Harvest
Harvesting began on 22 September under good conditions, with perfectly healthy grapes.
